  The funeral home is run by compassionate people with a profound understanding of the multi-faceted effects of death on grieving families. Gerald Burpee, the home's director, is patient, understanding, and committed to helping families navigate the grief process. His staff is the same. For our family, he helped process life insurance, plan the service, coordinate the details of the service, compile a memorial slide presentation, and handled virtually all details of this life-changing event. Truly, he relieved our family of this exhaustive emotional burden. He was patient, listening to every family story of our deceased loved one. There are many funeral homes in Lewiston, Maine, but Albert-Burpee is a community/family service, not a business. I want my family to call them when my time comes. I can't give a higher recommendation than that.
